Acne & Acne Scarring

Mesotherapy for acne and acne scars is a minimally invasive procedure where tiny micro-injections deliver customized cocktails of vitamins, antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, peptides, and sometimes growth factors directly into the skin.

For acne, the goal is to reduce oiliness, inflammation, and bacteria.

For scars, the goal is to stimulate collagen, repair damaged skin, and smooth texture.

How It Works
– Active ingredients (like zinc, niacinamide, vitamin C, glutathione, hyaluronic acid, peptides) are injected into the skin.
– These target sebaceous glands, bacteria, and pigmentation (for active acne).
– They also stimulate fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin (for scars).
– Result → clearer, smoother, more even-toned skin.

Benefits for Acne
– Reduces excess oil production (controls breakouts)
– Decreases inflammation & redness
– Has antibacterial & antioxidant effects
– Improves skin hydration & balance
– Can help with post-acne pigmentation

Benefits for Acne Scars
– Stimulates collagen & elastin → repairs damaged skin
– Smooths pitted/atrophic scars
– Reduces dark spots & uneven tone
– Improves skin texture & firmness
– Minimally invasive with little downtime

Treatment Course
– Usually requires 4–6 sessions, spaced 2–4 weeks apart.
– Works best when combined with microneedling, chemical peels, PRP, or laser, depending on severity.

Acne & Acne Scarring

Acne may not clear up on its own, and may leave behind scarring. Our Central London clinic offers a range of treatments to help your skin recover, from exfoliating chemical peels to prescription skincare which targets scarring and both PIH and PIE.

How long do results take?

Some treatments take longer than others. For example, creams and gels may take a number of weeks improvements to be seen. However, other treatments – such as our laser therapy and chemical peels can lead to calming of active lesions quickly.

How long do the results last?

Acne is a chronic medical condition. Once active lesions have been calmed and treated maintenance skincare and at times medication is needed to keep acne at bay.
